Commercial Vehicle Refurbisher

As a Commercial Vehicle Refurbisher you are responsible for processing bookings & co-ordinating maintenance and repair of our vehicles to ensure they are safe and legally compliant for our customers to hire and purchase. If you are Level 2 Qualified Technician with at least 3 years employment as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Mechanic or fully qualified Level 3 Diagnostic Technician, we would love to hear from you.

Technicians / Fitters service and repair light vehicles (e.g., Vans) up to 3.5 tonnes. Applicants must be trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.

Training and Learning:

• Actively participate in on-the-job training.
• Develop skills in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining light commercial vehicles.

Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:

• Assist with routine tasks like taking tyre pressures, checking levels, and damage inspections.
• Topping up fluids where necessary.
• Replacing damaged vehicle parts and panels.
• Preparing vehicles for paintwork.
• Decal removal & machine polishing.
• Removal and replacement of vehicle Ply-lining.
• Removal of vehicle interior seating, valeting and refitting.
• Working with parts suppliers to ensure margins are maintained.
• Prepare or repair vehicles for both sale and hire.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Keep accurate records of services, parts used, and time spent on each job.
• Carry out bookings and record customer information.
• Record and damages to hire vehicles and report back for repair.
• Ensure all documentation meets company and industry standards.

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally and courteously with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure that all calls are answered within target time and meet the quality standards set by the business.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers by displaying extensive knowledge our services and the rental sector.
• Process vehicle bookings and handovers over the phone and face to face.
• Help explain vehicle issues and services performed to customers.
• Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Adhere to company policies and environmental regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring proper maintenance of tools and equipment.
