All vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at the time of pick up. If the vehicle is not returned with the same level of fuel then a £35 refuelling surcharge will be charged plus the cost of replacement fuel.
A prepaid refuelling charge can be added to your hire at the time of vehicle collection. Please contact your local branch for more details.
To add additional drivers to your van booking: simply select the number of additional drivers using the dropdown fields on the enquiry / booking forms. Alternatively, speak to our office staff on 0800 861 1001.
All additional drivers are required to attend in person at the time of hire and produce their Driving Licence, Access Code / printed DVLA Driving Summary (if applicable) and ID as per main driver.
Additional drivers are charged at £12 per driver, per day. Unless previously agreed, a maximum of 4 drivers are allowed.
Our insurance covers drivers from the age of 25 - 75 with a minimum of 2 years driving experience. **For certain vehicle groups we can accept drivers of 23 years+ on a case by case basis by prior arrangement (please note that our insurance providers are operating limited hours due to coronavirus so we cannot refer any cases on weekend days).
**Please note that all drivers aged between 23 & 25 will incur an additional surcharge of £35 per day. (This is also accompanied by a increase in insurance excess to £1500 - if CDW is taken at the time of booking this reduces to £1000)
This is dependent on the date and nature of the offence & also the van hire enterprise.
As a genral rule, we cannot hire to anyone with more than six points on their license - more than six points can be considered on a case by case basis by prior arrangement (please note that our insurance providers are operating limited hours due to coronavirus so we cannot refer any cases on weekend days).
Your Photo Driving License must be produced at the time of collection & all drivers need to have held a full drivers licence for a minimum of 2 years. If your driving licence was issued outside of the EU, you must present this together with an international licence - we cannot accept international licenses on their own. We advise all Non-EU driving Licence holders to check their eligibility to drive in UK as certain restrictions apply if they have been resident in the UK for more than 12 months.
An access / verification code must be obtained to allow us to view your driving record information, this can be obtained at: www.gov.uk/view-driving-license free of charge or alternatively you can call on 0800 861 1001 between 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 08:00am - 5:00pm Saturday. The generated code will be valid for 21 days - if you have access to a printer: please click the link underneath your code to print your driver summary & produce this when collecting your vehicle to speed up the booking out process. The Access Code or Driver Summary must be produced at the time of hire..
Confirming your current address, these may include: bank statements, utility bill or council tax bills (credit card statements not accepted) & must be dated within the last 3 months - strictly no other forms of identification are accepted. A passport cannot be accepted as a form of address authentication it does not have a printed address in it, however, this can be used as photo ID. Hirer's with out of area addresses may be subject to larger deposits. If in doubt please call our office on 0800 861 1001 or get in touch for more information.

We require two proofs of address from separate sources - both proofs must be dated within 90 days of the hire date.
The address and name on your drivers license must match on both proofs & at least one of the documents must be from the primary list below:

Great news! There is a 15 minute grace period for daily rentals. If the van is returned outside of this period daily rental charges will be payable.
Please Note: A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked in until the next business day. If returning after hours when a branch is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until the satisfactory check in of the rental vehicle the next business day.
